On another note, it seems as though my city has succumbed to Spring overnight. The trees are blooming and the weather is perfect. We don't really get a Spring season in the desert, but right now is as close to Spring as we will ever get; so I'm rolling with it. That being said, I'm in the mood for Spring related things- pastels and fresh, green scents!
Last year, I purchased the Limited Edition Easter collection from the indie makeup company, My Pretty Zombie. I never swatched them on my blog, so I thought I'd swatch them now... Only a year late! ;) All swatches are done over Fyrinnae Pixie Epoxy, as I feel it makes loose shadows show their full potential (especially glitters!). The swatches were photographed in direct sunlight.
It feels like spring here too! I love that season of the year!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful eyeshadow colours ! I especially like Rabbits foot and basket case.
Oh that's lovely! I'm glad you're having some nice Spring weather there in Greece ❤ I hope things get less stressful for you so you can enjoy the weather!
DeleteI so wish I was good at makeup so I could create a fun look with these colors :)
Awesome! MPZ is one of my favourite indie companies by far! I have a lot from them already but want to pick up a few more of their Drugs Like Me blushes. I've been spring cleaning a lot lately, too.
ReplyDeleteThey're an awesome company! I've been yearning for their Drugs Like Me blushes. They look so freaking gorgeous!!!
DeleteWell, thankfully Autumn seems to have FINALLY hit here. All of my beautiful makeup has been sadly neglected for the last couple of months when the really hot part of summer hit. In that time I received an order from Shiro of their entire Hobbit collection (samples) and I haven't even bothered opening it, let alone swatching!
ReplyDeleteI am such a sucker for indie eyeshadows. So many beautiful colours, so cheap, supporting the little guy, etc. etc. The only problem is I buy them and then rarely use them because the mess of loose shadows annoys me. It's one of my 2013 goals to get in and use what I have properly. We'll see how that goes - nearly the end of March and I've barely touched any eyeshadow all year...
I'm glad autumn has finally approached for you! I know the feeling about neglecting makeup due to heat. Makeup and sweltering weather do not mix! I want to try Shiro's Hobbit collection so so bad- especially the olive green one with red sparkles (something about 15 birds in a tree? Haha idk). But I'd love to hear your thoughts when you open it someday! <3
DeleteYeah, loose shadows are tricky. I am not talented in the makeup department, so they're even more tricky for me. But I still give it my best effort ;) Don't worry, I can't be assed to do my eyeshadow 80 percent of the time. But it's all good because it makes me rediscover my lost loves of makeup when I do wear it!
